“Best of Space Squid” and supporting indie electronic journals/zines

http://www.spacesquid.com

Good Lord, I am now a follower of the almighty Space Squid. This wonderful little bundle of binary (Best of Space Squid is only available as an ebook at the moment) is a selection of editor favorites spanning 12 issues. Yes, this is the mag that released an issue on clay tablets -really (very funny article from WIRED here: http://www.wired.com/2010/08/dead-media-beat-sci-fi-mag-prints-on-clay-tablets/). Space Squid is mostly Sci-Fi, but not the kind that takes itself, or the medium, or the role of literature in general, too seriously. They make some jokes. Sometimes about weiners, sometimes about nihilism.

Most of Space Squid is available online for free. Check them out at spacesquid.com, and throw a bone to the people behind this wonderful bit of work by following their links and buying the book on Amazon (it’s three bucks).
